The MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship's next stop is Cadwell Park for the annual Bank Holiday party on 25-27 August, where the six riders for the championship Showdown may be set!
Shane 'Shakey' Byrne and Josh Brookes confirmed their places as Title Fighters in the Showdown after the Brands Hatch round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship as the pair join defending champion Tommy Hill who had already secured his position.
However the final three places are still available with Michael Laverty, Tommy Bridewell and Noriyuki Haga currently holding fourth to sixth respectively.
Samsung Honda's Laverty has a 48 point advantage over Bridewell, but just 38 points currently separate the Supersonic BMW rider in fifth and James Westmoreland in eleventh with a total of 100 points still up for grabs at Cadwell Park.
Cadwell Park is a firm favourite amongst the 2-wheeled community with the Mountain section a particular highlight for fans. The challenge of Lincolnshire's 'mini-Nürburgring' will ensure that the best riders will head into the three-round Showdown for the title.
A packed support package featuring British Supersport, British 125GP, Metzeler National Superstock 1000 in association with Black Horse, National Superstock 600 in association with Black Horse, Triumph Triple Challenge, Ducati 848 Challenge and Bemsee MRO Mini Twins will make this a weekend to remember!
Tickets for the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park on 25-27 August are available in advance from £25, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
