Organisers of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship have released a provisional calendar for the 2013 season.
The calendar remains essentially unchanged from this year's; with the Brands Hatch circuit bookending the season, the only circuit to hold two rounds. The opening races on the Indy circuit are likely to be the most unpredictable of the year, with new car and driver combinations set to shake up the order.
The final round is almost certain to decide the title and recent years have seen several drivers and teams in contention right until the end. This October the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit will close the 2012 season and the same configuration will be also be used to conclude next year's championship.
Oulton Park will hold the championship's fourth round, and the June event is traditionally one of the season's best attended. The circuit is also regarded as one of the toughest on the calendar and a favourite amongst many of the drivers.
Snetterton 300 also retains its current position in the calendar as the first round after the championship's mid-season break. The Norfolk circuit is often an indicator for the second half of the season and recent changes to the venue have brought in record crowds.
