Brands Hatch will decide the outcome of the 2012 MCE British Superbike Championship this October (12/13/14), when the title fight concludes on the legendary Grand Prix circuit.
Six riders from six different teams representing five different manufacturers will go head to head at the triple-header finale, and a huge end-of-season party will be held at the Kent circuit as fans get to see the 2012 champion crowned.
Tommy Hill will return to his home circuit aiming to defend the title he won so dramatically last year by 0.006s from American John Hopkins. He leads the standings by ten points going into the Showdown, ahead of Josh Brookes, whilst Shane 'Shakey' Byrne is targeting a third championship crown to equal the all time record.
Michael Laverty will be battling hard for Samsung Honda, but young guns Alex Lowes and Tommy Bridewell aim to upset the form book and earn themselves a maiden title and a place in the history books.
The three-event Showdown commences at TT Circuit Assen this weekend, as MCE BSB races on mainland Europe for the first time. The championship then heads to Silverstone on 28-30 September before returning to its spiritual home at Brands Hatch for the grand finale two weeks' later.
